Caddis Skinは、なめした薄い鹿の皮から出来ています。適当な幅にカットして、カディスピューパやニンフのボディー材として使用します。水を含んだ時の、リアルさには、ドキッとしてしまいます。

チェコとポーランドの職業漁師が、ジグフックに、このCaddis Skinを巻いたフライを長年使って来ました。今で云う、チェコ / ユーロニンフパターンの元祖？だったのかもしれません。簡単で、シンプルに、効果の高いフライを巻くことは、職業漁師にとっては、不可欠なことだったのでしょう。その知恵を利用しない手はありません。
